Admission Policies

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be a high school graduate or have a GED. Massage Institute of Cleveland complies will all equal opportunity laws. Payment plans are available to make it easy to afford a new career in massage therapy.

A transfer of credits may be considered if they are from an accredited institution of learning, however the student should realize that the maximum number of transfer credits, should they be allowed, will be 100 hours and the tuition and other costs do not change. All decisions will be made by the Director of MIC.

MIC will be hosting continuing education (CEU) classes to Licensed Massage Therapists for the state of Tennessee. Costs vary depending on the content, length, and expense of providing to continuing education program. Please contact the school for a schedule of upcoming events.

It is unlawful for any school to guarantee placement. Informal assistance is provided the graduates in their efforts to find employment in the field of massage therapy by way of posting employment opportunities received by MIC on the school bulletin board.

Credits earned at the Massage Institute of Cleveland, (as with any educational institute or college) may not transfer to another educational institution. Credits earned at another educational institution may not be accepted by the Massage Institute of Cleveland. You should obtain confirmation from any institute, college or school you wish to attend will accept any credits you have earned at another educational institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. You should also contact any educational institution that you may want to transfer credits earned at the Massage Institute of Cleveland to determine if such institutions will accept credits earned at the Massage Institute of Cleveland prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement. The ability to transfer credits from the Massage Institute of Cleveland (as with any postsecondary school) to another educational institutions may be very limited. Your credits may not transfer and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at the Massage Institute of Cleveland if you enroll in another institute. You should never assume that credits will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended and you are advised to make certain that you know the transfer or credit policy of the Massage Institute of Cleveland and any other educational institutions you may in the future want to transfer credits earned before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement with.


The Massage Institute of Cleveland, 4009 Keith St Suite 207, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312, (423) 559-0380, is authorized by the State of Tennessee Higher Education Commission to provide a certificate program in massage therapy via the Massage Therapy 530 course. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety factors, faculty qualifications, and fiscal responsibility.
